Lexus Malaysia has added another variant of the luxury SUV to their line-up with the latest Lexus RX 270. The new RX 270 highlights premium features, a stylish design, comfort and satisfactory performance in the form of a Sports Utility Vehicle befitting an individual’s active lifestyle.
The
an all-new 2.7-litre 4-cylinder DOHC 16-valve all-aluminium petrol
engine boasts best-in-class refinement and is capable of generating 38
kW / 185 bhp at 5,800 rpm of power output with 252 Nm at 4,200 rpm of
peak Torque. In addition, the powertrain is incorporated with a Dual
VVT-i (continuously variable valve timing on both intake and exhaust
ports) and Acoustic Control Induction System (ACIS) which alters the
length of the intake pipe to improve torque delivery. Lexus’s in-house
tests have proved that the RX 270 could dash from 0- 100km/h in 11.0
seconds and achieve a top speed of 200 km/h. Fuel consumption ratings
held its own with a combined cycle of 10.2 kilometers per litre
(9.8L/100 km), which is 8.5% better than the RX 350. Though the engine
runs on a high compression ratio of 10:1, it is still suitable for
both RON 91 or RON95 fuel types.
Mated
with the 6-speed Super ECT with A.I. Shift automatic transmission, the
RX 270 delivers power to the front wheels. The gearbox has been
engineered to be the lightest and most compact in its class, with fast,
smooth shifting and driver responsive shift control.
