Ford Kuga coming soon to Malaysia

The all-new Ford Kuga is set to disprove the myth that an SUV cannot be ‘green’, high-tech and capable all at the same time, something Malaysians will experience first-hand later this year.
Engineered for outstanding safety, the all-new Ford Kuga was awarded a maximum five-star rating by Euro NCAP last month after achieving an overall protection score of 88 per cent, the highest-ever for a mid-sized SUV.

Fuel efficiency has also been significantly improved enabling the all-new Kuga to deliver class-leading fuel economy – fuel consumption has been reduced by 25 per cent.

Porshe New 911 GT3 on the road

The Porsche 911 GT3 is based on the current 911 Carrera. Not surprisingly, this track denizen is built to keep things simple and the weight down. The interior is a bit spartan, but refreshingly functional. The 911 GT3 has a new all-aluminum chassis with a lightweight yet stiff body, with independent front and rear sections that can be adjusted by height, toe and camber.

Under the bonnet, the Porsche engineers went to town. The 911 GT3 has a naturally-aspirated, 3.8-liter, 6-cylinder boxer engine, which is derived from the 911 Carrera S (though they have few parts in common). It packs 475 bhp (350 kW) at 8,250 rpm and maxes out at 9,000 rpm. Most of the components were adapted or designed for the GT3, including the titanium connecting rods and forged pistons, the crankshaft, and the valve gear. With the lightweight chassis and body, this gives a power-to-weight ratio of 3.0 kg/hp.

Among the ohe GT3 also sees the implementation of the fuel-saving electrically assisted power steering. How that will affect the steering feel is yet to be seen, but thankfully the same system fitted to standard 911s have been rather decent to say the least.Another Porsche-first is the use of active rear-wheel steering. This turns the two rear wheels into or away from the corner according to speed, aiding stability and agilityther new driving dynamics features are larger 20-inch wheels, electronically-controlled, fully variable rear differential lock and the now-standard dynamic engine mounts.

Volkswagen Crossblue Concept-Shanghai Motorshow

The CrossBlue Coupe SUV concept is larger than the Touareg and features a dynamic look with tight, precise surfaces and character lines. The Coupé’s contemporary styling aspects are evocative of BMW’s X series, with channeled flanks, smoothed-out subtle haunches, a narrowing roofline and a rising waistline detail that is eerily similar to that of Land Rover’s Evoque. The narrowed nose and smallish rectangular headlights closely retain design elements from the Evoque and new-gen Camaro.

The Volkswagen CrossBlue Coupe measures 4,889 mm in length, 2,015 mm in width and just 1,679 mm in height. It has a 2,980 mm wheelbase and 22-inch alloys. The concept comes with LED lights all-around, a 12.3 inch cockpit display (Programmable instrument cluster), and a 10.1 inch central info display. The Volkswagen CrossBlue has a 537-litre boot that can be increased to 1,101 litres by folding down the rear seats.
