Smart Forspeed concept in Geneva MotorShow

Smart has pulled the wraps off its futuristic Forspeed convertible at the Geneva Motor Show. It's a zero emissions roadster, powered by a 40bhp electric motor, mounted at the rear of the car. The Forspeed completes Smart's small electric vehicle line-up, which includes a scooter and a bicycle unveiled at last year's Paris Motor Show. It may be called the Forspeed, but this Smart is unlikely to set any speed records. That said, it has a 7bhp overboost feature if you need a bit more shove, and has a claimed range of 84 miles from a single charge. The interior has a minimalist design that supposedly apes the look of a motorboat with individual binnacles in front of the driver and the passenger. There's also a smartphone unit in front of the passenger that can be rotated to face the driver.
