BMW SERIES 1~2012

BMW announced several modifications to the 2012 BMW 1-Series Coupe that accentuate efficiency and premium quality. The unmistakable profile of the BMW 1-Series Coupe, which represents the purest expression of BMW DNA is now sharper than ever. The new design of the front fascia on the 128i includes BMW's innovative Air Curtain that counters turbulence near the wheel arches and so reduces the aerodynamic resistance of the vehicle. New exterior design accents have been incorporated into the headlight and tail light clusters. In the interior, new switches and controls have a more refined look and feel. In 2008 BMW introduced the 1-Series to the US, an authentic performance coupe that drew inspiration from the iconic BMW 2002 model of some 40 years ago. As perhaps the next BMW legend, the BMW 1-Series Coupe represents the core BMW philosophy of pure performance, compact dimensions, and premium design. By combining sporty rear-wheel-drive dynamics, agile handling, powerfu

Hyundai i40 Tourer finally revealed

This is the new Hyundai i40 Tourer, the Korean carmaker's stylish estate that's aimed squarely at the Toyota Avensis. The all-new model makes its global debut at Geneva Motor Show. The new i40 is being described as "the most significant new Hyundai in several years." The family hexagonal grille is still there, but there's also day time LED headlights, a chrome-edged window graphic plus a strong crease line that rises along the side of the car. The result is an estate that's stylish as well as deeply practical, thanks to 553-litres of boot space that increases to 1,719-litres with the (nearly) fold-flat rear seats down.  Inside is similarly stylish with a sweeping dash and plenty of soft-touch plastics. The prototype we sat in felt well put together and came fitted with a panoramic glass roof.  Hyundai wants to become a 'modern premium' brand offering high-end technology at surprisingly low price points, and the i40 is a serious statement

2012 Hyundai Veloster

The Hyundai Veloster three-door coupe was officially unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this year. It features a unique coupe design with one door on the driver's side and two doors on the passenger side of the vehicle. The Veloster is powered by a 1.6L four-cyl that puts out 138 horsepower and 123 lb-ft. of torque. The engine can be mated to either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission . It's also expected to get around 40 mpg on the highway. A more powerful version is also reportedly planned, with rumors circulating that a turbocharged version will generate 208 horsepower from its 1.6L engine. Sales of the Veloster will kick off first in Europe and sales in North America will commence later this year.

Audi A1 Clubsport Quattro Concept

Audi has unveiled the A1 Clubsport Quattro Concept finally brings Audi's all-wheel-drive Quattro system to the tiny hatchback. Currently the Audi A1 is only offered in Europe with its power going to the front wheels. Audi is currently working on adding its all-wheel-drive system to the A1, but in the meantime we get a preview of what it could be like with the Clubsport Quattro Concept. The concept is powered by a five-cylinder 2.5L turbocharged engine. The engine is based on the same unit used in the Audi TT RS and RS 3 Sportback models, but with significantly more power in this concept. The TFSI engine puts out 503 horsepower and 487 lb-ft. of torque. Thanks to its small size and the fact that it only weighs just over 3,000 pounds, the concept can reach 0-62 mph in 3.7 seconds and its top speed is governed at 155 mph. To give it an even stronger presence, the concept features front fenders, doors and side panels that have been widened by a total 2.36 inches.
