AE-86 Reborn as FT-86

It’s finally here, some kind of glimpse of the new AE86 spiritual successor. It’s even got the numbers 86 in its name. The new Toyota FT-86 Concept shown at Tokyo Motorshow and its resemblance to the Toyota FT-HS Concept probably means it’s a more productionised evolution of the FT-HS, or that’s just how new Toyota sportscars are going to look like.

Proton Saga FLX CVT

PROTON is now giving you the option of getting more mileage for your Ringgit! PROTON has launched the Proton Saga FLX that uses Continuous Variable Transmission (CVT), commonly found in luxury cars. Utilising an advance belt system that transforms torque to power, the Saga FLX gives you a smoother drive, removing the jerks of traditional autogear transmission systems. This “stepless” gear tansition improves drivability and responsiveness of the car, the smooth transition of the car between gears helping the car perform more efficiently, saving fuel. Designed to give consumers better drive satisfaction and safety confidence, the Proton Saga FLX also comes with Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), along with driver and passenger side air-bags. Check out the latest Proton Saga FLX ‘coz its even better! For more details, visit your closest PROTON Edar showroom or visit: http://www.todayscarblog/share/protonsaga-CVT

Toyota Yaris 2012

Toyota is currently working on a replacement for its Yaris compact car, which is expected to enter the market towards the end of the year and has been spied here for the first time in prototype form. The new hatchback will go on sale as the 2012 Toyota Yaris, both in three- and five-door trims. A new Yaris sedan is also expected to join the lineup shortly after the initial launch and eventually we may see a brand new hybrid variant, which we got a preview of in the form Yaris HSD concept car at the recent 2011 Geneva Motor Show. Designed as a direct rival for the Honda Fit Hybrid, a hybrid version of the Yaris is in keeping with Toyota’s commitment to offer a full hybrid lineup by 2020.

The dash architecture is carried over from the sedan unchanged. The all-new Mercedes coupe will be offered in five variants in Europe upon launch in June: the C 220 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY with a 170 hp, 400 Nm 2.1-litre four-cylinder engine; the C 250 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY with a 204 hp, 500 Nm 2.1-litre four-cylinder engine; the C 220 BlueEFFICIENCY with a 156 hp, 250 Nm 1.8-litre four-cylinder engine; the C 250 BlueEFFICIENCY with a 204 hp, 310 Nm 1.8-litre four-cylinder engine; and the C 350 BlueEFFICIENCY with a 306 hp, 370 Nm 3.5-litre V6 engine. The U.S. market will only get the C 250 BlueEFFICIENCY and the C 350 BlueEFFICIENCY, while Malaysia is expected to get the former as the only C-Class Coupe variant, one
