Ducati Monster 795 on the road

Next Bike Sdn Bhd, the official distributor for Ducati in Malaysia today unveiled a new Monster model specifically developed for the Asian market. Valentino Rossi was on hand in Kuala Lumpur to promote the Ducati Monster 795. The launch is a coup for the distributor since it marks the first time that the worldwide launch of a new model has been held outside Europe, highlighting the Asian focus for the model. With the Monster 795 produced at the new Ducati factory in Thailand import duties will be avoided and the price much lower than Ducati models sourced from Bologna.  For example in Thailand, most imported Ducatis are twice the price of those sold in the US making a Ducati Diavel Carbon Red somewhat north of $40,000!! Prospective purchasers in Malaysia can reserve one of the new Ducati 795 Monsters by placing a RM1,000 (Malaysian Ringgit) deposit.  The new model is available in Thailand, China, India, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Phillippines, Vietnam and Singapore.
